Economical, Accurate, Easy-to-Operate... The MX-1100-E utilizes a precision LVDT
contact sensor, proven “Isolated C Frame” technology plus a large 7 inch Touch Panel
display. Resolution to 10 microinch. Measure paper, film, foil, non-wovens & sheet
with accuracy and ease.
The MX-1100-E utilizes a precision LVDT contact sensor, an isolated “C” frame assembly,
and a large 7 inch touch panel display, which resolves to ten millionths of an inch
(0.01 mil) with accuracy to 20 microinches. “True Cam” for accurate descent rates,
and one-button digital “zeroing” are standard. The measurement head automatically
cycles up/down, with the operator pulling samples underneath. On-board statistics
including High, Low, Average, Std. Deviation and Count.
Equipped with an RS-232 port, you can transmit data to a serial or ticket printer;
USB port to connect to a computer to allow operation with 3rd-party statistics and
quality control software packages or with Oakland’s MX-1500 Software for MicroGauges..
Manufactured to meet TAPPI specifications for paper or non-wovens or ASTM specifications
for film or foil.
Range: 50 mils (0.05 inch), available to 0.30 inch. Meets TAPPI test method T411
“Thickness (caliper) of Paper, Paperboard, and Combined Board”. Available in a range
of foot diameters, pressures, dwell times and lowering rates. Patent pending.
