The TOM-11, an easy-to-operate opacity meter for single-pass light transmittance or  opacity testing of films and paper materials.

Ideal for the laboratory or plant floor, the model TOM-11 is a simple-to-use, off-line instrument that indicates relative opacity and relative transmittance of plastic film, paper, laminates, printed packaging and other materials.  With a single pass of the light source through your material, the system measures relative light transmission on a scale of 0 to 100 Opacity Units, representing perfectly transparent to purely opaque materials, respectively.

Using an LED light source, the TOM-11 measures light attenuation due to the material.  Results can be reported as either relative transmittance or as opacity units (selectable), with resolution to 0.1%.  Can be used as a stand-alone unit, or with Windows software by USB cable connection.  Easy to use Windows software for data capture and data graphics is included with the system.  Automatic calibration during startup.
