Used to establish quality standards for resistance to impact surface damage and penetration of many materials such as plastics, resins, and fiberglass, the Model IM-1120 is a heavy-duty impact tester based on the guided-weight Gardner Impact Method.

Cailbrated in English units, the IM-1120 has a 40 inch graduated guide tube, a lower support die with a 0.640 inch hole diameter, a 0.625 inch dia. round nosed punch, plus 2 and 4 lb weights offer impact forces of 80 and 160 inch-lbs, respectively.
