Oakland’s Inclined Plane Tester is an economical, yet accurate test instrument for determining static friction of all substrates including printed cartons, plastic film, coatings, textiles & paper.

Oakland’s latest addition to its range of COF, Peel & Seal Test Instruments, the Model FX-7000-SA Slide Angle Tester is designed for ease-of-use in determining Static COF of your film and sheet materials. Based on the scale-based pointer determination of slide angle, the point at which the stationary block begins downward sliding motion on the substrate, a simple lookup table is used to convert Slide Angle to Static COF values for your material.

Slide Angle testers are designed for measurement of Static COF Values, while horizontal bed versions are capable of determiining both Static COF and Kinetic COF Values. Optional Sliding Blocks are available for the FX-7000-SA for testing several materials including shipping sacks, fiberboard, electrical insulation paper, printed paper, and corrugated. Peel / Seal fixtures are also available, as well as tensile grips and other accessories to enhance the range of use of your tester.
